D-Dimer Quantification (Plasma)

The D-Dimer Quantification-Plasma test is a blood test that measures the levels of D-dimer in the bloodstream. D-dimer is a protein fragment that is produced when blood clots are broken down. This test is primarily used to aid in the diagnosis of blood clotting disorders and monitor the effectiveness of treatment. Elevated levels of D-dimer can indicate the presence of a blood clot, as it is released into the bloodstream when a clot starts to break down.
