  1. Medical Check-up by Doctor
A doctor takes your medical history into account and assess your basic heath profile.

  2. Laboratory Work-Up
This includes a set of tests that will ensure that you live a healthy life. These tests are helpful in providing valuable information about the state of your health.

    • Complete Blood Count:
      1. Total WBC Count
      2. Lymphocytes %
      3. Monocytes %
      4. Granulocytes %
      5. RBC Count
      6. Haemoglobin
      7. MCV
      8. MCH
      9. MCHC
      10. Platelet Count
    • Blood Group
    • Urine - Routine & Micro
    • Blood Sugar - Random (Fasting not required)
    • Blood Urea Serum Creatinine - Kidney Function
    • SGPT/SGOT - Liver Function
    • Lipid Profile For Atherosclerosis
    • TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Test

  3. Chest X-Ray
This is a simple procedure that screens lungs and heart for diseases like tuberculosis, chronic asthma, lung cancer and enlargement of the heart. For a more detailed diagnosis, a PFT / Echocardiography is carried out.

  4. Electro Cardiogram (ECG)
Electro cardiogram is a simple and routinely conducted test to assess electrical activity of the heart. An ECG shows changes that may be suggestive of reduced blood supply to the heart, whereupon, further investigations like stress test or angiography can be done.

  5. 2D Echo Cardiography (Doppler study of the heart)
The Colour Doppler Machine helps us study the function and structure of the arteries and veins supplying blood to various organs of the body, especially the brain, heart, lower limbs and abdomen. This test checks for blockages and determines the health of the arteries. The condition of the arteries can deteriorate due to a variety of factors like hereditary and unhealthy lifestyles.

  6. Total Body Fat Percentage
The human body is made up mainly of water with fat being the next largest percentage. The fat percentage is nothing but the percentage of body fat mass (the weight of the fat) in relation to your body weight. The rest of the body consists of proteins and carbohydrates in the form of muscles and minerals stored in your bones.

    Healthy Body Fat Range
Under 30 yrs. old Over 30 yrs. old
    Males 14 % -20% 17 % - 23 %
    Females 17 % - 24 % 20 % - 27 %
Source: Clinical Data obtained by Jikei university School of Medicine

In order to measure the body fat percentage, an extremely weak electric current is passed through the body. It is so weak that you do not even feel it. The body fat percentage and body fat mass are determined by the following calculation:

Body fat percentage (%) – Body fat mass (kg) ÷ Body weight (kg) x 100Bodyfat mass (kg) = Body weight (kg) fat – free mass (kg)

This method, of measuring, the electric resistance of the body, is called the bioelectrical Impedance (BI) method and it is one of the most accurate means of body fat analysis.

  7. CT Calcium Scoring
Calcium in the vessel walls is a marker of the process called "ARTERIOSCLEROSIS" i.e. stiffening of walls of blood vessels due to calcium deposition. This stiffening leads to loss of normal elasticity of blood vessels This may further lead to multiple medical problems including heart attacks.
An Average calcium score upto 60 is considered to be permissible. Any score above this suggests higher risk of arteriosclerosis. Depending on the score, medical management can be started. If the calcium score is too high, CT coronary angiography has to be abandoned.

  8. CT Coronary Angiography (Heart)
A CT scan of the heart is done. This is the latest non-invasive technique of screening for anginal problems.
Angio means blood vessels and graphy means photography. What gives this scan the edge is its speed. Since the heart is never stationary, often a clear image is impossible to acquire, but this process makes it possible as it takes a picture in 0.4 seconds when the heart relaxes during a beat. The scanner computer uses the images to construct a 3-D image where blockages appear as they would once the heart is opened. The entire process is completely non-invasive painless and much faster than conventional processes like cardiac catheterization (angiography). )

  9. Counselling by Doctor
you will get the added advantage of counseling session with an experienced physician who will not only discuss your problems, if any, but will also guide you as to what changes you may have to make within the framework of your lifestyle in order to make it more meaningful and enjoyable.

This will include an assessment of all the test reports and advice on methods to improve and maintain health. In addition, women can avail of a consultation with a gynecologist guiding them to a healthy lifestyle.

CT investigations are recommended for people above 35 yrs of age OR for people with at least one risk factor: Smoking, obesity, diabetes, dyslipaedimia (elevated cholesterol / Triglyceride levels), family history , stressful life style.

CT tests cannot be done if:
    1. Breath holding is less than 20 seconds.
    2. Heart rate is not steady and below 70 beats/min.
    3. If you have Asthma and Beta Blockers cannot be administered.
    4. If your Creatinine levels are found high.
    5. If you are pregnant or planning your pregnancy
    6. If you have any known contraindication for injection of contrast / Dye etc.
    7. if you have high calcium score (ASK DOCTOR)

CT Cardiac Angio results may be not given,
(Even after undergoing CT Angio Test).
    1. If you move while being scanned.

    2. If you do not hold breath while being scanned.

    3. If your heart rate suddenly shoots up while being scanned. (This may happen due to fear, anxiety etc.)
